Evita Tezeno

— Evita tezeno—

Evita Tezeno’s works of art consist of collages with a cubism influence. Her bold use of color, texture, and shapes is at the core of her work. Inspired by her personal experiences and images from her childhood, Evita translates these memories through mixed media by combining handmade papers, acrylic paints, and found objects.

Her work is collected by many famous entertainers, media personalities, and athletes including Denzel Washington, Star Jones, and Susan Taylor. She has been commissioned by the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, The Dallas’ Deep Ellum Film Festival, as well as the 30th annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.  Her work can also be found in the permanent collection of the Embassy of Madagascar. As the recipient of the prestigious Elizabeth Catlett Award for The New Power Generation hosted by Hampton University, she has paved a career as a sought after, multi-disciplined female artist.
